In order to improve the fire protection knowledge of the company’s employees, strengthen their fire safety awareness, and improve their ability to deal with emergencies, on August 13, 2017, Chengdu Zhengheng Power Co., Ltd. held a unique fire drill.
The fire drill is divided into 3 steps: 1. Fire fighting theory knowledge learning 2. Fire fighting drill 3. Escape practice. Zhengheng Power invited Captain Xiang of the squadron from the industrial zone squadron of the Xindu District Fire Brigade to give an explanation on the scene. The team leader popularized the types of fire, fire-fighting equipment, fire-fighting knowledge, etc., and specifically introduced the fire prevention, possible causes of fire, and fire-extinguishing methods in workshops like Zhengheng’s cylinder block production and cylinder block processing.
After the theoretical study came to an end, all participants moved to the fire-fighting drill site. Fire extinguishers and fire hydrants have been prepared, the raging fire, unscrupulous in the scorching sun, and the heat wave rushing to the face. Captain Xiang gave a further explanation on the operation of the fire extinguisher and the key points of fire fighting at the scene.
Everyone is eager to try, pull out the insurance, check the air pressure, rush to the flame, and compare the root of the flame. The fire is instantly extinguished.
Fire Fighting Drill in Zhengheng Power Plant Next is the use exercise of the fire hydrant. After the fire hydrant is taken out of the fire hydrant cabinet, it is best to cooperate with two people. Slowly open the faucet to avoid the hedging caused by excessive water pressure; the nozzle of the fire hydrant should be held tightly with two hands one after the other, and the feet are standing in a lunge to prevent excessive recoil. The nozzle is aimed at the flame, and the flame can usually be extinguished.
The third step is to practice escape. All the staff came to the dormitory. Before entering the dormitory, the instructor explained the fire and characteristics of the environment similar to the dormitory. The colleagues simulated the fire scene. From the 5th floor of the dormitory down, in the picture, according to the instructions of the commander, they conducted a safe evacuation exercise from upstairs to downstairs in an orderly manner.
With the help of safety drills, improve the self-protection ability of company employees. Let the employees be in a situation similar to the real situation, so that they will not be helpless in the process of real danger. Fires are ruthless and prevent accidents before they occur.
