Zhengheng Power provides finished aluminum cylinder block for Great Wall Motor’s Tank 500/700 series models. Great Wall Tank’s V6 engine is comparable to the world’s leading level in terms of power, smoothness, fuel economy and other key indexes, and the application of advanced technology breaks through the technological upper limit of foreign brands in the field of large-displacement high-grade engines, becoming a model for domestic independently-developed high-grade power.

The 3.0T V6 engine of the Tank 500 won the “Heart of China” 2022 Top 10 Engine and Hybrid System Award, with a rated power of 265kW (net engine power of 260kW), and a maximum torque output of 500N-m at 1500-4500rpm, surpassing the maximum torque output of foreign brands. The engine has a rated power of 265kW (net engine power of 260kW), and can achieve a maximum torque of 500Nm in the 1500-4500rpm speed range, surpassing many global models of the same displacement.

Ⅰ, Dimensional Precision Control
The overall internal water jacket, oil return channel, thermostat cavity and crankshaft cavity of V6 cylinder block have complex structure, through the rigorous and precise core grouping process, the rings are interlocked to ensure that the main wall thickness casting deviation of the cylinder block is controlled within the precise range, especially the water jacket combination process, which ensures that the thickness deviation of the cylinder hole is controllable after processing. In the V-type large-displacement mass production cast aluminum cylinder block size control in the forefront of the country.

II. Key process coefficients
Through reasonable design of pouring and arranging system, fine management of process, including melting and dosing ratio, strict metamorphic refining and degassing process, application of cold iron process in each hot section part of the cylinder block, stable pouring temperature, sand temperature, cylinder liner casting temperature, and other key process control, the casting and machining qualification rate of the V6 aluminum cylinder block is much higher than the level of qualification rate of the similar products at home and abroad after the mass production.

Cooling performance is intuitively important in high-power engines, and it is also the direct reason why many manufacturers are unable to make high-performance engines. The wall thickness of the pre-cast cast iron cylinder liner in the aluminum cylinder block has an important influence on the water cooling and heat dissipation of the engine; the more uniform the wall thickness of the cylinder liner, the more balanced the heat dissipation, and the more stable the engine work; the V6 aluminum cylinder block, through the self-researched core locking process, maximizes the positional degree of the main core of the cylinder hole in the casting process to ensure that the positional degree of the six liner is controllable after processing of the cylinder holes, which has reached the higher level of the V-type low-pressure casting block, and has filled the gap of the V-type low-pressure casting cylinder block.
